UT student designers began working on their collections during the fall semester. Funds from both the University Co-Op and other student organizations made the fashion show possible. Students and faculty agreed to use "Innovation" as the theme for this year's fashion show. Student designers utilized a variety of sustainable materials and unique design methods to make their collections.
UT's Spring Fashion Show requires extensive funding from multiple organizations; however, sometimes the designers end up having to pay for a portion of their projects out of their own pockets. Student designer Lindsey Wetesnik and University Fashion Group president Valerie Davila both detailed different ways funds are allocated and used for this year's fashion show.
